One of the founding partners, with a deep background in financial service companies and regulators. As a senior director, Dan set up the Deloitte military talent programme. Having held C-suite posts in Risk, Audit and Info Security, Dan is routinely sought out by other C-suite leaders for his expertise tech risk related advisory.
A former soldier and global head at Barclays, Stuart founded Matero with Dan because of a shared belief in fusing military learns with commercial acumen to benefit business. Influenced by behavioural human science input, Stuart has been engaged as a change thought leader by over fifty FSTE/Fortune companies.
Jon spent 8 years in the British Army before a decade in senior leadership appointments in Barclays and PwC, where he was the Chief Security Officer. Drawing on a depth of commercial experience and a military background, and motivated to help organisations adapt and thrive in pursuit of their goals, Jon transitioned into Management Consulting with a focus on business operations and interim management roles.
Katie served 6 years in the British Army before moving to KPMG as a Project Manager. Specialising in operational management, process improvement and governance, she moved to Matero as a Senior Management Consultant in November 2020. She is particularly interested in using coaching frameworks to facilitate change drawing on her leadership experience in both the military and commercial sectors.
Claudine spent 16 years in the Army prior to joining Matero on the civilian employment internship. Leaving as a Staff Sergeant in the administrative area, she has worked in the MOD and field army with top executive teams and possesses a strong set of transferable skills. In her spare time, Claudine is a keen supporter of Prince Harry’s Invictus games and hopes to join the GB team.
Jim served in the British army for 6 years before leaving in 2012, after which he specialised in high-risk security consultancy and Project Management for the Oil & Gas industry, operating in Africa, South America and the Middle East. More recently he has provided Programme and Change Management Consultancy to C-Suite leadership across numerous industries, including demolition & civil engineering, large-scale sporting events, high-tech manufacturing, and software development.
Max is a Senior Project Manager with over 25 years corporate and tech experience, with the previous 12 years successfully managing change across a variety of industries such as the financial services, insurance industry and government sectors. Max joined Matero in September 2020.
Ben served as an officer in the Parachute Regiment and came through the Matero Internship as a Project Manager. His recent experience includes managing a project to embed a unique and diverse talent pipeline for a major utilities company and project managing product strategy for an international Unmanned Aircraft System provider. Ben has a BSc in Medical Science, an MSc in Leadership and Strategic Studies as well as a Queen’s Commission from Sandhurst Royal Military Academy and is studying for an MBA at the London Business School.
Humphrey served 30 years in the Army before becoming a Business Transformation Programme Manager, specialising in the delivery of Business Process Optimisation using a variety of methodologies including Lean Six Sigma, Agile & SAFe. Humphrey has experience in delivering these programmes across, the Banking, Gaming, Retail, Telco, Defence & Ed Tech sectors.
As an audit, accounting and risk professional, Jane has over 25 years’ experience in the Financial Services sector, starting out in external audit with PwC, and subsequently moving into internal audit within the Life Assurance sector in South Africa. The past 10 years have been spent building up a specialism in risks and controls within Insurance specifically within the Lloyd’s market. Drawing on skills gained whilst in external audit, Jane utilised audit disciplines whilst holding senior roles with two Lloyd’s managing agents, where she implemented robust control frameworks across both businesses, at the same time delivering several high-profile projects.
Louise served 6 years in the British Army in the Royal Logistics Corps before joining the Matero Military internship during her civilian career transition. Her time with Matero included supporting the delivery of a major client change management project. Louise went on to join Amazon as an operations manager at Amazon, where her leadership and management skills are highly valued.
Matt served as an officer in the Parachute Regiment for 8 years before being medically discharged. His recent experience of delivering an agile transformation project within the military prepared him well for an internship role with Matero. Matt has a BSc in Agri-Business Management and an MSc in Leadership and Strategic Studies.
